HomeSafe Devon makes a home safe for the person living in it, and keeps it that way. We assess the whole house, put the right person on each job, manage and inspect the work, and stay involved afterwards.
One firm to deal with, one plan, and one place where everything is recorded.
The problem we exist to solve
Families rarely struggle to find a tradesperson. They struggle to work out what is actually needed, to get people to turn up, and to know a job has been done properly.
Knowing what to do first
We survey the house and set out what would make the biggest difference, in the order we would do it.
Getting it actually done
We put the right person on each job, book them, and hold them to the day and the standard we agreed.
Knowing it was done properly
We inspect the finished work against the plan and sign it off. You are never left arguing about whether a job was finished.
LOCAL BY DESIGN
One team, and we run it
You tell us what needs sorting and we sort it. Plumbers, electricians, tilers, stairlift engineers, gardeners and cleaners, all North Devon, all vetted by us.
From where you are standing it is simply HomeSafe Devon turning up and getting it done.
Checked before they start
Our own team are DBS checked. Everyone else we send is vetted by us, and is someone we have worked with before.
Managed while the work is on
We arrange access, set the standard of care in the house, and keep you posted throughout.
Checked before you pay
We inspect the finished job against the plan and you can follow it on the portal. The invoice comes once the work is right and everyone is happy with it.
Kept on merit
Everyone on the team has earned their place on it, and keeps it by doing good work in the homes we look after.

We talk to your parent
They are the customer. It is their house, and theirs is the decision.

Everything in writing
The plan, the price and the sign-off. Before the work, not after it.

Nothing without approval
Every job sits on the portal until it is approved. No work starts before that.

Someone turns up when we say
If a job is running late, we chase it and we tell you. Waiting in all day is not acceptable.

Advice that saves you money
If a cheaper job would do, or the council may fund it, we will tell you.

We put things right
If the work is not right, you tell us and we sort it out. Never your job. See our complaints procedure.

North Devon only, all within about an hour of Barnstaple. We live here, and our reputation here is the whole business.

We come to you
There is no shop or office to visit. Everything happens in the home, which is where the work is and where the decisions are best made.
One record of everything
Plans, quotes, approvals, visit notes and invoices all sit on the family portal, so nothing depends on remembering a doorstep conversation.
A network behind us
When you need something outside our work, carers, occupational therapists, chiropodists, people who advise on money, we point you to someone we would use ourselves. There is no commission in it for us.
